This Japanese black tea is quite light but complex with earthy, floral notes of lightly-fried bread dough, hints of lemon and a lingering milky-sweet finish.
From the Kagoshima prefecture on the southern tip of Kyushu island. Benifuuki is a hybrid of the Benihomare (assamica) and MakuraCd86 (sinensis) varietals. Loosely translates as “red riches and honors”.
