This year’s first flush from Doke is extra special, with a portion of the leaf hand rolled by Ted on his recent trip to India! (See gallery pictures.)

Doke Tea Estate is located on the Doke River, in the Bihar District of northeast India, near the border of Nepal. It is sometimes called ‘The Land of Buddha’, as Gautama Buddha spent much of his life teaching and seeking enlightenment there.

    What a delightful tea. Definitely light bodied but not lacking in complexity. I am sure that Ted’s hand at the rolling had something to do with the quality of the finished product. 😉
