One of my favorite morning breakfast teas. Nice red/amber liquor color. Nice round mouthfeel, taste notes of butteriness, sweet caramel , earthiness/cocoa, and just a touch of smoke. Medium long mildly sweet finish. Astringency/bitterness nicely balanced with the sweetness; just enough tannins to give you a good morning boost, without being harsh.
One of two teas from Mr Maxley’s that I buy in larger quantities and drink almost daily.
Very approachable, and highly recommended.
