Overlooking the magnificent snow-capped peaks of Mount Kanchenjunga, the Puttabong tea garden implements long term sustainable cultivation practices with an objective of producing healthy and safe tea. This includes practicing IPM (Integrated Pest Management), maintaining bio-diversity with a variety of annual grasses, leguminous crops, short height shrubs and tall trees, as well as utilizing vermi-compost, cattle farming and producing liquid fertilizers from local herbs.
